Etton Parish Council is responsible for Etton Pond.

In 1934 Dalton Estate laid on piped water to Etton village for the first time for a small payment. Up until this time fresh drinking water used to be fetched from the pond and various pumps and wells around the village.

1977 major pond works.

In 2022 a major new programme of pond works was funded through the FCC Communities Foundation and managed and delivered by Etton Parish Council. Willow trees were felled.
