{"id":62,"date":"2022-05-23T17:48:42","date_gmt":"2022-05-23T17:48:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kalpa.org.uk\/ettonmere\/?p=62"},"modified":"2023-01-31T21:20:36","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T21:20:36","slug":"tree-felling-has-begun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kalpa.org.uk\/ettonmere\/2022\/05\/tree-felling-has-begun\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree felling has begun"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The felling of the five mature willow trees around the pond began today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to Special Branch &#8211; the contractors carrying out the work &amp; to the owner and tenants of the neighbouring field who have allowed access to the back of the pond to make the felling easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work will only take a couple of days after which the felled wood will be chipped and taken off site,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as the five willows, a number of other dead trees, some stumps and a few bits of overgrown laurel will be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is only the first stage of the process to improve the pond overall.
